Your team doesn't need another trust fall. They don't need another escape room where two people do all the work while everyone else checks their phone. They need a day on the river. River tubing is the team building activity your employees will actually look forward to, and actually talk about afterward. It's relaxed, inclusive, naturally collaborative (you're literally floating together), and it gets people out of the office and into one of the most beautiful settings in Central Texas. Get in touch to start planning.
Why Floating Beats Everything Else
- No forced fun. Unlike escape rooms, ropes courses, or cooking classes, there's no awkward "team challenge." People float, talk, laugh, and bond naturally.
- All fitness levels welcome. You sit in a tube. The river does the work. No one gets left behind, no one feels embarrassed.
- Cross-department mixing. On the river, the CEO floats next to the intern. Job titles disappear when everyone's in swimsuits and sunglasses. It breaks down walls faster than any workshop.
- 3-4 hours of uninterrupted conversation. No Slack notifications, no meeting invites, no laptops. Just real human interaction. That's where real bonds form.
- Memorable. Nobody talks about last year's team lunch. They will talk about the time the whole company floated the river. For years.

Safety, Liability & Alcohol Policies
We take safety seriously, especially for corporate events where liability is a consideration.
- Liability waivers signed by all participants before boarding the shuttle.
- Commercial general liability insurance carried by the outfitter. COI available on request.
- Safety briefing provided by the trip host before entering the water.
- Life jackets available for all participants (required for anyone under 13).
- Alcohol: The trip is BYOB, but we can enforce any company-specific alcohol policy. Many corporate groups choose beer/seltzer only, or fully alcohol-free outings with sparkling water and sodas provided.
ADA Accessibility
River access involves natural terrain: grass banks, gravel, and shallow water entry. While the environment isn't fully ADA-compliant, we work hard to accommodate team members with mobility needs:
- Staff assistance entering and exiting the water
- Larger, more stable tubes available
- Alternative put-in locations with gentler access points
- Life jackets and extra support gear available
Contact us at least 1 week ahead to discuss specific needs so we can prepare accordingly.
Post-Float Team Dinner
Cap off the day with a team dinner in Austin. Our top picks for groups:
- BBQ: Franklin Barbecue (book ahead), la Barbecue, or Micklethwait Craft Meats. Nothing says Texas team building like sharing brisket.
- Casual group dining: Scholz Garten (Austin's oldest biergarten, great for big groups), Easy Tiger (beer garden on the east side), or Loro (Asian smokehouse by the Uchi team).
- Upscale: Emmer & Rye, Uchi, or Lenoir for a more polished finish to the day.
